The Islander

We stayed in unit 107 for a week. The unit was beautiful and comfortable! The location to the pool and beach was the absolute best it could be! This was our second time staying at the islander and this condo was awesome!! If there was anything at all they could change it would be very minor…the kitchen utensils were lacking for a family that cooks their meals instead of going out. And the master bed was not super comfortable. But again, minor minor issues. We plan on staying in this exact condo for years to come!

CONDO #611 AT THE ISLANDER, A MUST STAY! This condo is a wonderful & memorable place to stay, just 2 minutes within walking distance to the gorgeous, white sand beach. Wake up every morning to gaze outside from the balcony & multiple rooms to see the unbelievable ocean water that consists of shades of blues & turquoise, cannot express just how fabulous and breathtaking that daily view that surrounds you is! Then you have the ease & cleanliness of this #611 tastefully decorated condo. It comes equipped with so many amenities, is super safe, convenient parking, & the staff are just so friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful. So looking forward to many return years here, at this phenomenal condo & place!!

We absolutely had the best experience staying here! This was our first time in Destin and I researched MANY places. We were so happy with our choice. The location is great, so convenient to Target, restaurants and so many things. The beach was absolutely stunning and the free chair/umbrella service that came with our condo was wonderful. We stayed in unit 415 and would absolutely request this again. Everything was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated and well-equipped. There were a few extra things we found in our unit that were a pleasant surprise, but not mentioned in the listing and they helped make our stay even better. 1. They sell bags of ice at the front desk for $3. This was so convenient for filling your coolers for the beach or for folks like us who were there for a baseball tournament (also cheaper than buying ice at the gas station). This was great too if you like to make frozen drinks in the blender. There were two additional folding beach chairs in the closet, which were nice for our teens to use. The balcony was large and had a table and 4 chairs PLUS a lounge chair. I napped all day on the balcony when we had a rain day, it was so peaceful! The balcony also has railings on each side for hanging towels and swim suits to dry, without looking bad from the outside, loved this! And check in was so easy because they have a TON of shopping carts to use to get all of your stuff to the room (way better than luggage carts, which they also had). We had groceries and so many things and this made it so easy to get settled in - GREAT IDEA! The staff was awesome and helpful, the pool and views beautiful and parking was plentiful - we never struggled to find a spot and when friends came over for a cookout at the pavilion one evening, they let them park there while visiting. We had plenty of towels and although we booked this unit specifically because it had a washer/dryer, there was a note on the dryer that it was out of service. We were worried (again, since we were here for a ball tournament and would have to wash uniforms) but the front desk staff were nice and helpful and they made things right. We have zero complaints! The teens played basketball and tennis every night, enjoyed the beach and we also loved the shuffleboard court. Thank you everyone at The Islander for a wonderful stay, we will absolutely be back!

My wife and I arrived May 14th, had to wait a bit for our room, but that was a communication issue getting back to front dest, but no problem. The unit 603 very nice clean and great views, only one small issue. The refrigerator doors would seal upon closing, so when loading your food water make sure to hold doors otherwise you have to wait like 20 to 30 sec each time it closes. But other wise Awesome stay!!
